Longview Texas is home to a smorgasbord of dining options. With taste influences from all over the United States and the world there is sure to be something everyone will love! Below is a list of the 5 best local places to eat in Longview
  1. Longview is home to some of the best steak houses around. Try some of the local flavors down at Leon’s Steakhouse located at 2112 Eastman Rd.
  2. Next up on our list is a place you are sure to know about. Magic China located at 1903 Gilmer Rd. They just finished with their renovations and their food is better than ever!
  3. Everyone loves pizza right? Pizza King at 1100 east marshall. Their pizza is to die for and the retro theme makes this a great place for a fun date.
  1. Breakfast, Lunch, Or Dinner try out Mi Casita at 408 N Spur 63. They are famous for their burritos, I dare you to try the “Chuck Norris”!
  2. Last on our list isn’t exactly in Longview but make the short drive to Kilgore and you will be at some of the best outdoor dining around! The Back Porch at 904 Broadway in Kilgore Tx is a fun place for any occasion. They have live music 4 nights a week Wed-Saturday. Check out their website for the scoop.

THINGS TO DO IN LONGVIEW

Ever wondered what there is to do in East Texas? We will be updating this list weekly with activities going on in the Longview Community. First we have the “Downtown Live” event at Heritage Plaza, on May 5, 2017. Leap of Faith will be playing this free event so go check them out! Check out the #samstrong Fun Run on Saturday May 6th. Entry is $35 per person and $50 for families. Location is Camp Gilmont, in Gilmer Texas on 155 North. Walk Among the Giants will be held downtown at the World of Wonders from 10-6p.m. May 6th. So get out of the house this Saturday, explore the new and improved downtown, and let the kids have some fun!
